How do you fight these Shadows? Guns and swords, I imagine.

Magic? How does that work? I'm a bit of a magician, myself, but I imagine not the same way you are.

I think you're one of the nicest people I've met here, actually.

It's definitely not that kind of magic. It's more like...fairy tale-esque, I guess. It's still a little hard to accept for myself, when I think too hard about it. But we would have been in trouble without it.

Closer to the fireball than the frog. Elemental skills, support skills, healing skills... things like that. I try not to use them unless we really need them, though.

I'm reassured knowing we have someone that can help us when we're hurt more than anything. This place is dangerous, as we've covered.

Funny - a few months prior I would have balked at the idea of "magic," but now I'm here accepting it point-blank. Life is strange.

Even for me, this place is kind of hard to accept sometimes, honestly. But there are a lot of weird things here, so I guess at some point we just have to roll with it, you know?

There's no point in worrying about it if that's just the way things are here, or in someone else's world.

It does make it more difficult for me to understand this world, however. Now there is a good chance you and I and all the rest of us have been brought here by magic, and all the cleverness in the world can't overcome that.

You're not wrong. Once you toss in the supernatural element, all bets are off.

And I think it's safe to say this place is pretty supernatural.

Not really, honestly. Everything that's happened here feels more like it's coming straight out of a fairy tale to me.

I foolishly thought that we might be able to find a clue. Oh well - more work must be done. I also cannot think of a good explanation that isn't supernatural, unfortunately.

[To be honest, he kind of admires that Lupin's reaction to "MAGIC DID IT" is just "We'll have to work harder then". That's some rad confidence right there.]

It's a start, at least. Even if the start is just "We know it's magic", that's more than nothing. Now we just have to figure out what kind of magic.
